A weekend with Konstantinos, Pain of Salvation and a Mustang

What a long, long weekend! Saturday I went to Wrong Weather in order to meet Konstantinos Menelaou that was in Porto for the exhibition "F/A1". He and João Pedro Vasconcelos are such nice guys! It was great to be there! The report will be available at Rua de Baixo with great photos from Pedro Castro :)

And sunday was time to go to Lisbon for Pain of Salvation gig!

And monday, when I was on a bus to Gare do Oriente in order to catch the bus to Porto, this is what happened -.-'

Jazz at Porto

Well, as some of you may already know, I'm a jazz lover and so I decided to make here a small list of all the places related to jazz that you can visit at Porto (Oporto, for the foreigners :p). All the pictures are from the official websites and in a near future I'll make a review for some of this places with my own photographs.

First of all, we have the recently opened Tribeca. It location is at Rua 31 de Janeiro, 147, at Porto's downtown. At the first floor you can have a meal and relax on a beautiful and musical atmosphere and at the second floor you'll find a real jazz club, where you can enjoy great concerts from wednesday to saturday at 10:30 p.m.

Reborn from the old BFlat Jazz Club (first Jazz Club in Porto), you find the new Villas Jazz Club at Matosinhos (Rua Brito Capelo, 1227). Go there at friday night and enjoy :)

Ok, this one is one of my favorites: Hotfive. It is located at Largo Actor Dias ,51 (near Praça da Batalha). If you appreciate quality in music, this is the right place to be at night.


You can also find some jazz concerts at Casa da Música, Clube de Jazz ao Norte, and ESMAE (Teatro Helena Sá e Costa). If you're in the city during April/May, you can also attend to Jazz'n'Gaia.
